J. Raultberthelot et L. Angely, COMPLEXING PROPERTIES OF POLY-DIBENZO-CROWN ETHER RESINS TOWARDS INORGANIC CATIONS - CASE OF POLY-DB18-C6, Synthetic metals, 58(1), 1993, pp. 51-62
This article deals with the complexation of various cations (alkali, a
lkaline earth ions and also heavy or precious metal ions) by poly-dibe
nzo-18-crown-6. This electrochemically synthesized polymer is able to
complex statistically one cation for two basal polymeric units T. Comp
lexing properties of the resin towards gold ions appear very interesti
ng. Results obtained after a long duration of contact between cations
and the polymer aim to describe preliminary complexing properties of t
he polymer at equilibrium, to show that these properties are not only
governed by the affinity of the cations for the polymer crown ether un
it and to point out the factors influencing the complexing properties
of such compounds.
