Abstract
Cp2oZrCl2 (Cp(o) = eta5-C5Me4Et) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/n (No. 14) (T = 298 K) with a = 8.477(4), b = 18.280(7), c = 14.372(7) angstrom, beta = 92.88(7)degrees, V = 2224.3 angstrom3 an d Z = 4. The refinement gives final R values R = 0.039 and R(w) = 0.03 9 for 3860 observed symmetry-independent reflections. The Zr atom is t etrahedrally coordinated by two Cp(o) ligands and two chloro ligands. The Cp(o) ligands adopt a staggered conformation.
