Abstract
Using a vibrating reed technique in a subresonant excitation mode, dis sipation mechanisms have been studied in sintered YBa2Cu3O7, supercond uctors with different grain sizes. Experimental results are interprete d within the critical state model. Results deduced from vibrating reed technique are compared with ac susceptibility measurements. It is sho wn that both techniques give consistent results.
