Abstract
The case of a non-atopic subject developing occupational sensitization and allergic rhinitis to Mercurialis annua pollen after intense expos ure is described. The subject was involved in a clinical study by hand ling flowering plants daily. Preventive measures should be taken even in non-atopic subjects exposed temporarily to proteins or potentially allergenic material.
