The authors report 5 cases of sarcoidosis developed on scars. Sarcoido
sis may be isolated (I case) ; it may precede (1 case) or accompany sy
stemic sarcoidosis, or occur during a relapse (3 cases). Dermatologist
s who observe cicatricial changes always suspect sarcoidosis. It is th
erefore important that physicians should examine the scars of their pa
tients with suspected sarcoidosis, since biopsy of these scars is easi
ly performed, confirms the diagnosis and avoids more invasive explorat
ions.
