Abstract
Structural changes of the residual and dissolved lignins from NSSC coo ks of beech wood were examined with and without the oxidized lignin as pulping additive. Quantitative H-1 and C-13 NMR analysis in combinati on with DEPT pulse sequence allowed to determine the effect of oxidize d lignin on degradation and condensation reactions of lignin macromole cule. All results are discussed with reference to structural features of lignin preparations of NSSC/AQ pulping.
