Abstract
In order to study the relation between structure and magnetic anisotro py, the anisotropy of thin Co films with different structural composit ions was measured. The results agree with predictions based on a compo sitional averaging of the bulk anisotropies. The structure of the Co f ilms was manipulated using different growth temperatures.
