Abstract
The magnetism and electronic properties of rhodium overlayers on Ag(00 1) substrate are studied using a parametrized tight-binding method. Di fferent arrangements of rhodium and silver layers on top of the substr ate are studied. The magnetic properties are compared with those of fr ee standing rhodium layers at silver lattice constant.
