Abstract
The Cu thicknesses at which sputter-deposited coherent fcc (Fe-Co-Ni)/ Cu (001) multilayers display the first, sharp, antiferromagnetic maxim um in the interlayer exchange coupling were found to depend markedly o n the ferromagnetic alloy concentration. The entire fcc part of the te rnary Fe-Co-Ni system was investigated. The relevance to the theory of interlayer exchange is discussed.
