Abstract
Resistivity measurements in Pd(n)-Ni(n) multilayers reveal anomalous e lectron scattering for 4 less-than-or-equal-to n less-than-or-equal-to 6, producing a sharp peak in drho/dT around 55 K. A similar study of Pd(n)-Ni(m) (m not-equal n) shows that the anomaly is of magnetic orig in, requiring Ni layers at least 3 atomic planes thick and Ni-layer se paration not exceeding 6 atomic planes.
