Abstract
We have developed a new transfer-matrix method for the computation of exact wavefunctions and magnetoresistivity in a layered periodic syste m, assuming a free electron model within each layer, and solved the Bo ltzmann equation for interface-roughness scattering. The resulting mag netoresistance can be of order one.
