Abstract
Eight species belonging to the subgenus Parastenus of the genus Stenus are recorded from Sichuan Province, China. Among them, 2 species are described as new to science: S. (P.) spiculus and S. (P.) trigonuroide s. Three species, S. (P.) lopchuensis Cameron, S. (P.) notaculipennis Puthz, and S. (P.) viridanus Champion, are recorded for the first time from the country. The aedeagi of the new species are illustrated. A k ey to the species is included.
