Abstract
We report the occurrence of three autoimmune diseases (primary biliary cirrhosis, CREST syndrome and Sjogren's syndrome) in a patient with H TLV-1-associated myelopathy (HAM). The patient had the depressed cell- mediated immune responses but the infiltration of CD8-T cells was foun d in the cerebrospinal fluid and liver. The clinical and immunological features of this case are similar to those of chronic graft-versus-ho st disease.
