Vg. Mcdermott et Rj. Sellar, THYROCERVICAL ARTERIAL SUPPLY TO AN INTRACRANIAL DURAL ARTERIOVENOUS MALFORMATION, Clinical Radiology, 47(5), 1993, pp. 362-363
An intracranial dural arteriovenous malformation (DAVM) is presented,
which received some of its blood supply from the left thyrocervical tr
unk. Since arterial supply from the thyrocervical trunk is not reveale
d by routine four vessel cerebral angiography, opacification of the ip
silateral thyrocervical trunk is advocated in patients with posterior
fossa DAVMs for whom endovascular treatment is being considered.
