The Mote Carlo technique was used for modelling mass transport to frac
tal electrode surfaces under conditions of a potentiostatic pulse and
linear scan voltammetry. Fractal surfaces of different fractal dimensi
on D were constructed using the Walsh-Hadamard transform. The effects
of surface geometry on the form of the current response and long-time
cut-off are discussed with respect to the validity of diagnostic proce
dures used for the electrode kinetics on smooth electrodes.
