Vg. Gurzadyan et Aa. Kocharyan, ANISOTROPY OF COSMIC MICROWAVE BACKGROUND-RADIATION - A TEST FOR INFLATION AND OMEGA, Europhysics letters, 22(3), 1993, pp. 231-234
The anisotropy properties of Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation (CM
B) are discussed in the framework of the effect of mixing of geodesics
in a universe with negative curvature. We study a crucial feature of
the spots predicted by that mechanism, namely their elongated geometri
cal shape. This feature should be absent in flat universe, particularl
y in that having passed through an inflationary epoch. If future obser
vations show the existence of this property on anisotropy maps, one ca
n have serious indication of the negative curvature of the universe an
d informative estimations for OMEGA and other cosmological parameters.
