Abstract
Evaluation and implementation of policies affecting wetlands managemen t may require measurement of the economic value of the policies to ind ividuals and groups. A potentially powerful means for measuring change s in wetlands-based recreational values is the use of value estimator models. The general specification and potential applications of value estimator models for wetlands-based recreational use values are discus sed in this paper. Future research needs are also identified.
