Abstract
The temperature dependence of the Faraday rotation in the near-infrare d wavelength region is calculated in comparison with that observed in Co2+-containing hexaferrites by using the molecular field approximatio n, The calculation results show that the Faraday rotation decreases in the whole wavelength region and shifts to a lower energy with an incr ease in temperature, which is in agreement with the experimental resul ts.
