The electrolytic growth of poly(3-methylthiophene) on thin sprayed CdS
(Al) films leads to a Schottky type junction whose built-in potential
was found to be 1.05 V by impedance measurements. The effect of CdS fi
lm thickness confirms earlier results at the CdS spray/electrolyte int
erface, and shows that photocurrent maximum corresponds to a maximum i
n the variation of the factor alpha/N(D)1/2 versus thickness, where al
pha is the absorption coefficient and N(D) the carrier density of CdS.
