The intensity of H-3-UMP incorporation into pre-rRNA and hRNA of perme
able peripheral blood lymphocytes was found to be 2.0 and 1.5 times hi
gher in the cells of animals with chronic lymphatic leukemia (CLL) and
3.5 and 1.5 times higher in the cells of animals with different forms
of acute lymphatic leukemia (ALL) as compared with that in healthy co
ws. No differences were found in general activity of DNA-dependent RNA
-polymerases I; II and III in blood lymphocytes of healthy cows and co
ws with CLL. Some basic characteristics of RNA-polymerases I and II (a
ctivation by Mg2+ and Mn2+ and by ammonium sulphate, inhibition by alp
ha-amanitin) remained unchanged in lymphocytes of leukemic (CLL) cows
in comparison with lymphocytes of healthy animals.
