Abstract
Just about the time we began to employ, on a fairly wide scale, the st ructured approach to systems development after many years of extolling its virtues, we now have the object-oriented approach to consider. Cl early, the object-oriented approach is the ''thing'' these days. Is it the current rage because of people's search for the magic bullet, the panacea? Or, is it simply a useful and practical development methodol ogy? This article helps answer these questions.
