Abstract
The effect of polyhexamethyleneguanidine (PHMG) on the electrodepositi on of copper from sulfuric acid solutions is examined. The considerabl e effect of pH and chloride ions on the effectiveness of the polymer w as noted. The experimental results obtained may be used to monitor the content of PHMG in electroplating tanks and in disinfecting solutions .
