The interaction between methylmagnesium iodide in anisole and surface
functional groups of ultradispersed diamond-containing powders (UDD) c
an be divided into three stages: interaction with molecular additives
and the-external surface; interaction with the surface of open pores;
and interaction with the surface exposed during mechanicochemical brea
kdown of the UDD aggregates. The quantitative characteristics of the U
DD surface have been determined: density of protonated groups (0.34-2.
52 mug-eq/m2) and concentration of active hydrogen (0.49-7.52 mug-eq/m
2).
