Abstract
The temperature dependences of the Young's modulus and internal fricti on of Fe49Rh51 alloy samples have been studied in the region 80-420 K including a first-order antiferro-ferromagnetic transition. Giant anom alies were discovered of the properties above the transition point at 320-380 K. The shapes and values of the anomalies were found to be str ongly dependent on the heat treatment of the samples.
