SOLAR CORONAL MASS EJECTIONS

New data on Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) and associated events are su mmarized. The following topics are discussed: general information on C MEs and methods of its observations; differences between measurements of the CME parameters with white-light coronagraphs on board of P78-1 and SMM; relationships between CMEs, precursor, and flare; eruption of filaments (prominences) and the onset of CMEs; models of the CME erup tion; the CME associated radio emission; CME and final phase of the fl are; CMEs and slow shock waves; variations of the CME parameters durin g the solar activity cycle; CMEs and the coronal evolution; three-dime nsional structure of CMEs; interplanetary manifestations of CMEs; CMEs from flares and disappearing filaments are as a single spectrum of th e solar eruptive phenomena.
