A KINEMATIC STUDY OF THE INTERACTING-SYSTEM NGC-5953 54/

The results of the detailed kinematic study of the pair of interacing galaxies NGC 5953/54 (Arp 91, VV 244, Mrk 1512) are presented. The spe ctral observations of the members of the pair were made using 2,6-m te lescope of Buyrakan Astrophysical Observatory and 6-m telescope of Spe cial Astrophysical Observatory. The heliocentric systemic velocities o f the galaxies are 1994+/-5 km/s (NGC 5953) and 1848+/-10 km/s (NGC 59 54). The derived rotation curves of galaxies show a significant asymme try and at different position angles demonstate both decrease and incr ease of radial velocities as compared with circular motion.
