Abstract
Significance of a resonance of various modes of the rotating ellipsoid al figures oscillations has been discussed for explaining a superposit ion of harmonics of the light ana velocity variations of the beta Cani s Majoris stars. This explanation consists in existence of al least tw o close frequencies corresponding to various mode oscillations which a re non-linearly interacting.
