For a given fluid flow this paper presents a mathematical model of an
adiabatic honeycombreactor in which an irreversible reaction of the fo
rm nu(A) A +nu(B) B --> nu(c) C + nu(D)D with the following bimolecula
r reaction rate q'(T)=k'(T) c(A)c(B) takes place in a porous catalyst
layer. The model is presented for constant and local Sherwood-, Nussel
t- and Biotnumbers and also for constant thermodynamic properties.
