Abstract
Based on a linear approximation of the reflectances of a film-covered surface a method is suggested enabling us to gather information about the orientational distribution of the film molecules from reflectance data. To test the method proposed the parameters of the orientational distribution of two selected dyes have been calculated by using the re flection spectra of the corresponding LB-films.
