Transport and structural properties of the charge density wave materia
l K0.3MoO3 have been measured in situ. After cooling to low temperatur
es in zero electric field, a dc electric field was applied, and simult
aneous measurements of the time evolution of the electric current and
x-ray scattering peak profiles were carried out. A correlation was obs
erved between the time dependence of the charge transport properties a
nd the superlattice peak intensity.
