Abstract
A study has been made for production of the delta endotoxin in glucose -yeast extract-peptone-mineral salt medium contained in a 5-litre stir red tank fermentor provided with a turbine type of agitator and a ring air-sparger. Production of toxin is maximum-43.1 KITU/ml of culture b roth under the following conditions: aeration rate - 1.5 vol.air/vol. medium/min, agitator speed-100 r.p.m. and volume of medium-2 litres.
