Abstract
The light lanthanide piperidinocarbodithioate complexes with the gener al formula (PipH2)[Ln(PipCS2)4] (Pip = piperidino, Ln = La, Pr, Nd, Sm , Eu and Gd) have been prepared using anhydrous lanthanide chloride an d piperidinium piperidinocarbodithioate as reactants. They have been c haracterized by chemical analyses, IR spectra, electronic spectra, con ductivity measurement and TG-DTA techniques. In all the complexes the carbodithioate ligands show bidentate behaviour.
