CYTOKININ CONTENT IN NEEDLES OF NORWAY SPRUCE (PICEA-ABIES [L] KARST)INOCULATED WITH 2 STRAINS OF THE ECTOMYCORRHIZAL FUNGUS THELEPHORA-TERRESTRIS (EHRH) FR
H. Kraigher et al., CYTOKININ CONTENT IN NEEDLES OF NORWAY SPRUCE (PICEA-ABIES [L] KARST)INOCULATED WITH 2 STRAINS OF THE ECTOMYCORRHIZAL FUNGUS THELEPHORA-TERRESTRIS (EHRH) FR, Forstwissenschaftliches Centralblatt, 112(1-2), 1993, pp. 107-111
Two strains of the ectomycorrhizal fungus Thelephora terrestris showed
different levels of the same types of cytokinins in their culture fil
trates. Cytokinin content in needles of inoculated versus noninoculate
d Norway spruce seedlings were higher regarding Isopentenyladenosine-5
-Phosphate, Zeatin, Zeatin-Riboside and isopentenyladenosine, while Is
opentenyladenine did not show any differences. The strain of the same
fungus, which produced higher amounts of cytokinins in pure cultures,
influenced more the cytokinin content of the needles (regarding IPA5P,
Z and ZR), although the differences were smaller than in pure culture
exudates.
