Abstract
The aim of the present work is to study the influence of the microstru ctures obtained by thermal treatment on the corrosion resistance of a 22.4Cr-5.4Ni (wt-%) duplex stainless steel in the presence of chloride ions, using the potentiokinetic reactivation test. The results enable the relationship between the area ratio of activation and reactivatio n curves and microstructure to be determined, and can be used to plot the time-temperature-transformation diagram for these steels.
