Crystallographic refinement of a complex of pea lectin with a monosacc
haride derivative tamido-2,3-dideoxy-3-iodo-alpha-D-glucopyranoside) h
as been carried out at 1.8 angstrom resolution up to R=18%. Details of
the 3D structure of the complex including the carbohydrate and Ca2+,
Mn2+ binding sites have been specified.
