Abstract
We studied the distribuiton and abundance of two prosobranch snails (M elanopsis praemorsa and Melanoides tuberculata) in a thermal spring (2 7 degrees C) in southeast Morocco. Of the physicochemical and ecologic al parameters measured, food availability and water velocity appeared to be the main factors affecting the spatial distribution of these sna ils.
