Ke. Lee et Kt. Higa, SYNTHESIS, CHARACTERIZATION, AND REACTIVITY OF NEW ALKYLGALLIUM ACETYLIDES, Journal of organometallic chemistry, 449(1-2), 1993, pp. 53-59
Reaction of Me2GaCl and LiC=CSiMe3 or R2GaCl (R = Me, (t)Bu) and LiC=C
Ph (benzene, 70-degrees-C) gives [Me2GaC=CSiMe3]2 and [R2GaC=CPh]2 in
62%, 58%, and 71% yields, respectively. The gallium acetylides were ch
aracterized by IR, Raman, and NMR (H-1, C-13, C-13{H-1}) spectroscopy.
Reactions of the dimethylgallium acetylides and phosphines (R2PH; R=E
t, (i)Pr) (toluene, 110-20-degrees-C) give HC=CSiMe3 or HC=CPh and the
corresponding dimethylgallium dialkylphosphides [Me2GaPR2]n (R=Et, n=
3, (i)Pr, n=2).
