Abstract
Some numerical solutions via local characteristic approach have been o btained describing multidimensional flows. These solutions have been u sed as tests of a two-dimensional code which extends some high-resolut ion shock-capturing methods, designed recently to solve nonlinear hype rbolic systems of conservation laws.
