Abstract
The relative reactivity of alpha-pyrone and oxazinone rings in 'H-[1]- benzopyran-7-yl]-methoxy-4H-3,1-benzoxazine 3 towards nuclea philles ( arylation under Friedel-Crafts conditions, aminolysis and hydrazinolys is) and electrophiles (aromatic aldehydes) is described.
