Abstract
We investigate the thermodynamic content of a cellular model which des cribes nuclear fragmentation as a process taking place in an excited d isordered system. The model which reproduces very well the size distri bution of fragments does not show the existence of a first order phase transition. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
