J. Freidenberg et al., FROM ETHNOGRAPHY TO SURVEY - SOME METHODOLOGICAL ISSUES IN RESEARCH ON HEALTH SEEKING IN EAST HARLEM, Human organization, 52(2), 1993, pp. 151-161
This paper explores how and to what extent qualitative ethnographic me
thods of data collection in the social sciences may be integrated with

was developed and tested in an ethnographic study of health seeking am
ong elderly Hispanics in East Harlem, New York City, and considers som
e of the practical and theoretical implications of the process.
