Abstract
In order to prepare transparent magnetic fluid, yttrium iron garnet ul trafine particles ranging in size from 10 through 30 nm are synthesize d by hydrolysis of metal alkoxides. Differential thermal analysis, X-r ay diffraction analysis, electron micrography and magnetization measur ements are carried out on these particles to investigate the calcinati on condition and particle sizes.
