A. Suarez et al., TYPE-II MIXED CRYOGLOBULINEMIA ASSOCIATED TO HEPATITIS-C VIRUS CHRONIC INFECTION, Revista Clinica Espanola, 192(7), 1993, pp. 325-326
We describe the case of a patient with Non A-Non B Post-transfusional
Cirrhosis and Type II Mixed Cryoglobulinemia, who showed in relation w
ith said processes several acute symptoms of Vasculitis, Polyarthritis
, Pericarditis and Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia, finally dying due to a
n advanced Hepatocellular insufficiency. In this patient the determina
tion of antibodies against Hepatitis C Virus (anti-HCV) was positive,
that is why we assume a possible relationship between both processes a
nd the first literature references, after the clonation of the Hepatit
is C Virus (HCV) genome, are reviewed.
