Abstract
Three series of novel polyurethane elastomers containing phenolphthale in as chain extenders were synthesized. The structure of the polyureth ane was analyzed using IR and wide-angle X-ray diffraction studies. Te nsile strength and percentage of elongation of all the series of polym ers were studied. Thermal decomposition was studied using differential scanning calorimetry.
