H. Artigas et al., EXCESS VOLUMES AND EXCESS VISCOSITIES OF BINARY-MIXTURES OF AN HALOHYDROCARBON WITH 1-BUTANOL AT THE TEMPERATURES 298.15 AND 313.15 K, Physics and chemistry of liquids, 33(4), 1996, pp. 213-227
Excess volumes, excess viscosities and excess energies of activation f
or viscous flow have been determined at 298.15 K and 313.15 K by means
oi density and viscosity measurements for the binary mixtures of a ha
logenated (Br, Ci) benzene or cyclohexane with l-butanol. The results
show the influence of both the type of cyclic system and the halogen a
tom. At 298.15 K, the mixtures with aromatic derivatives present negat
ive values of V-epsilon in a wide composition range mainly correspondi
ng to the zone rich in l-butanol, This region diminishes at 313.15 K.
The values for eta(E) and G(E) are negative For all mixtures at two t
emperatures.
