Abstract
Calibration of the Energetic Gamma-Ray Experiment Telescope (EGRET) on the Compton Gamma-Ray Observatory involves simulation, experimental c alibration, and verification in flight. The principal properties of th e instrument which have been determined as a function of energy and an gle are the effective area, the angular resolution (point spread funct ion), and the energy resolution (dispersion).
