Abstract
The authors carried out routine skin-testing for groundnut allergy in children investigated during day hospitalisation for respiratory disor ders presumed to be of allergic origin. Without it being possible at p resent to state that such skin sensitivity does indeed reflect pathoge nic sensitisation, they envisage the role of the occult intake of grou ndnut oil in the initial diet. They offer evidence of a very significa nt relationship between this skin sensitivity and Vitamin D preparatio ns in solution in groundnut oil.
