J. Wolny et al., ACTIVATION-ENERGIES FOR CRYSTALLIZATION OF AL4MN AND AL4(CR0.5FE0.5) QUASI-CRYSTALS, Journal of non-crystalline solids, 156, 1993, pp. 923-926
Activation energies for crystallization of quasicrystalline Al4Mn and
Al4(Cr0.5Fe0.5) Were determined from constant-heating-rate electrical
resistivity measurements. Several consecutive metastable states, chara
cterized by increasing activation energies, were noticed during this t
ransformation. The Al4(Cr0.5Fe0.5) compound was found to be more stabl
e against crystallization than Al4Mn.
