Abstract
The acid pH of medium was responsible for blockage of organogenesis in the shoots of a black poplar (Populus nigra 'Italica') callus culture . After repeated transfer of the calli on freh modified MS medium cont aining 0,2 mg/l of benzylaminopurine (BAP) at pH 5.8 unblocking of org anogenesis appeared.
