C-60 MOLECULAR-DYNAMICS STUDIED BY MUON SPIN RELAXATION

In muonium-substituted organic radicals, the muon spin can serve. as a probe of molecular dynamics. The motional perturbation induces transi tions between the coupled spin states of muon and unpaired electron. S tudies of the resultant muon spin relaxation in C60Mu, the species for med by muon implantation in solid C60, yield the correlation time char acteristic of the reorientational motion.
